Abbesses Market : the cute one
Surely one of the smallest Christmas markets in the capital. Less than a dozen small cottages
but what a charm! Nestled on this famous square tinted with the unforgettable memory of Amélie Poulain, this market is the ideal break during your stroll in Montmartre. Next to the wall of Je t’ aime, to rue Lepic and at the foot of the Sacré Coeur, this market has an ideal location! Regarding food, you will find in this small market a very good mulled wine, a ham raclette sandwich, some choucroute, a Strasbourg sausage sandwich and a cheese stand. For the rest, you will find very pretty handmade jewellery, and wooden handicrafts. Note: the presence of the famous rotating carousel.
Place des Abbesses, 75018 from 27th November to 2nd January.
La Défense Market : the largest one
We give it to you, the surroundings lack of charm. However, La Défense deserves a special attention for those who love modern architecture. Also the view from the Arche of La Défense is breathtaking, it can be a good alternative to the point of view of the Eiffel Tower or the Montparnasse Tower. With its 350 stands, everyone will find what they are looking for at the Christmas market in La Défense. A long red carpet accompanies you throughout your walk between food-oriented stands and Christmas shopping stands. Attention, around lunch (12h30 – 13h30) there may be a queue to go inside.

Notre Dame de Paris market : the most artisanal one
It is one of the most “authentic” markets in the capital. 50 craftsmen from the surrounding area gather every year at the same time to present their creations. It is therefore one of the markets with the most beautiful “handcrafted” offer but you will also find there the classical gastronomy of this kind of market: sausages, macaroons, hot chestnuts… Here we don’t come only to shop, the view on Notre-Dame de Paris is breathtaking and plunges us into Victor Hugo’s world at the time of the old Paris.

Quai Branly Market: the one with the most beautiful view
Shopping at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! The iron
lady lovers will undoubtedly choose this market for Christmas shopping or simply to warm up with a good mulled wine. The market is rather small, but it includes all the essentials of the kind: handcrafted wooden objects, cider and lot of traditional French cuisine.
