The elevated one
Welcome to the 7th heaven! The Terrass’ Hotel located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris offers a magnificent rooftop on the 7th floor. It’s an attractive and casual place, with a comfortable and relaxed vibe. On the price side, pleasant surprise! The fares are those of an ordinary brasserie… in an extraordinary setting. In addition to its beautiful terrace and unobstructed view of the whole of Paris, the Terrass’ Hotel offers a cocktail menu that vary according to the seasons and moods of the mixologist. The drinks are elaborated, just in the right dosage and very tatsy! There are no missteps in the kitchen, you can enjoy all the dishes offered à la carte and, something rare in Paris, the service is fast, the waiters are pleasant and smiling. A small piece of paradise nestled in the heart of Montmartre.
Le Terrass’ Hotel, 12-14 Rue Joseph de Maistre, 75018 Paris, France
The low one
Have you heard about the only rooftop in Paris on the ground floor? Take a seat in the restaurant Il Cottage and enjoy the very large patio in rooftop style that surrounds this restaurant and cut it off from everything. The atmosphere here is relaxed and invites to confidences and chatter. This space offers a pizza truck in addition to à la carte food service, an outdoor bar, an indoor bar, chickens, a petanque court and in winter a real Mongolian yurt and a ski gondola! A little bit original of course but who said that the first date has to be in a restaurant with white tablecloths, flowers and chocolates? Invite your better half in one of the comfortable armchairs on the heated terrace, surprise and smile guaranteed!
PS: brunch is great.
Il Cottage, 1 Boulevard Lannes, 75116 Paris, France
The trendy one
In the very artistic Marais obviously and more precisely in the famous rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie. Here, the setting is felted, the light is dimmed and the food simply exquisite. Sit down in one of the large green and blue velvet sofas and let yourself be impressed by the excellent cuisine of this young half-Italian half-Thai chef. A mixture as surprising as it is promising, especially behind the ovens! The specialty? The very
simple roast chicken, which is not so simple in the hands of this very talented chef. A very French setting with its share of elegance and traditions of great cuisine and excellent service. A restaurant where you simply feel good. Ideal for a love meeting without any fault and which will please everyone.
Good to know: bring the Paris Food Map to enjoy a free glass of wine with your roasted chicken!
Les Foodies, 6-8 Square Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004 Paris
The truffled one
If your partner loves truffles, you won’t make any mistakes by opting for Truffes Folies, a restaurant specialized in truffles . The advantage of the place: you will leave satisfied but not broke! Compared to many restaurants specialized in this deluxe dish, the prices are reasonable for a truly delicious cuisine. The setting is trouble-free but elegant and refined, the service is fast and pleasant, everything is put together so that you spend a beautiful evening with your lover. Our favorite is the truffle linguines, a must-try and if you have room left, don’t miss the selection of cheeses aged with truffles, it will leave you with an unforgettable memory. A good tip: get -10% off your bill with the Paris Food Map, a good reason not to miss this unique address.
Truffes Folies, 31 rue Malar, 75007 Paris, France
The one for Spring time
Are you in love with Paris? That’s good! Are you in love in Paris during the summer? That’s better! See you at Les Mondes Bohèmes in the 20th arrondissement. A timeless frame that will make you travel instantly to the french Provinces, it’s weather and the sound of crickets. The interior design is lovely: the roof is made up of grapevines. The grapes hang happily there, the sun sneaks between the leaves and you feel like on holiday for a meal! If there is no sunshine during the winter, you’ll still find a lot of heating that makes the place very pleasant and cozy. The specificity of the house: the restaurant also serves as an art gallery, so between two dishes you can admire the selection of artworks. On the kitchen side, we stay in the classics but all are very well executed and we love the cocktails! A restaurant to spend a good time with the feeling of escaping for a weekend in the countryside!
